Quakers Hill Aged Care Fire – Update 4.00pm Sunday 20 November
Domain Principal Group (DPG) confirms that at the time of the fire the Quakers Hill Nursing Home was fully compliant and accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency. All employees on duty at the time of the fire had completed criminal history checks and their nursing registrations had been verified with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
DPG also confirms that all residents are now in permanent accommodation, except for those who remain in hospital.
There are 29 residents in hospitals across Sydney, primarily in the local area.
A memorial service will be held at Quakers Hill Anglican Church on Wednesday 23 November at 10am for residents, families, employees and emergency service personnel.
