The event featured a Jazz Band, as well as a sausage sizzle and refreshments. Antique appraisals were available and many people brought along their antiques for a valuation – some with surprising results! Many visitors took a walk down memory lane as they visited the vintage car display – the reminiscence was almost palpable as family holidays and outings were recalled!  An array of stalls including wine, cheese and jewellery were enjoyed by all and the kids were well entertained with a jumping castle, face painter and animal farm.

Windward Manor, Domain Principal Group’s luxury aged care home in Chiswick invites the local community or those interested in luxury aged care to come along and enjoy the food and entertainment at our open days on Saturday 24th March 10.00am – 2.00pm or on Wednesday May 10th from 1-4pm.  As well as a FREE BBQ, there will be plenty of entertainment for all including facepainting and balloon sculpting for the kids.  Tours will be available during each event.

In the early evening the Mango Skins accompanied Don Burrows who demonstrated why he is such a legend with solos on both flute and clarinet. A great time was had by all who attended as they enjoyed a drink or two and with a free jumping castle and face painting, the kids had hours of fun.

A special thanks to the Lions club who worked hard to keep everyone well fed and with just a gold coin donation for their famous hamburgers they were sold out within hours. The staff, residents and their families were amazed by the talents of our up and coming youth and we look forward to watching the members of these bands reach the accolades that Don’s presence inspires them to achieve.

This event continues to attract more visitors every year and is helping to maintain community awareness of Domain Lakeview. Thank you to all who made Jazz at Domain such a success.
